Raised out of Queens; New-York, Joeski has been a regular in the dance music scene since his humble beginnings back in the early 90’s. He came to prominence spinning at legendary clubs like Limelight, Tunnel, Palladium and The RoxyIt wasn’t till the turn of the century when Joeski really entered the production circuit. Setting up his own Maya Records label, Joeski real name Joe Flores began a steady flow of releases, racking up his reputation points. He later appeared on other larger labels like Shaboom, Suara, Defected alongside Harry Romero, Desolat and Poker Flat.
On this new release Joeski has brought on board the vocal talents of Eric ‘E-Man‘ Clark. The co-owner of Liberate Recordings is famed for his hand in the Jon Cutler anthem ‘It’s Yours’, his voice instantly recognise by its deep, soulful tone.
This new cut ‘Clap Yo Hands’ is a straight up percussive-led house groove that stays its course throughout. There’s no gimmicks, no big drops, it’s just a great swinging house groove that has rumbling basslines, infrequent jazzy stabs and of course E-Man’s superb narrative. Deep and full of groove this is one that will work the floor effortlessly.
‘Clap Yo Hands’ will be available via Defected Records from May 23rd, 2016.
